California also has mobile smog stations which is like a portable dyno that they will set up on the side of the road and a cop will "randomly" pull people over to check them. I saw them once but they had one car on it and another waiting behind it so I didnt get pulled over.

that is total . I've heard of those damn things but have never actaully seen one. our state is so damn broke right now i doubt there is money for stupid stuff like this. I wonder what the actuall law is on focing someone to pull over and have there car tested. I would probably argue with the cop and threaten to call my lawyer.

People have enough ***** to worry about on a daily basis besides the fact and the worry of being pulled over for a random smog test. That is absolutely ridiculous.... Good to see tax dollars hard at work..

I assume that California is on the strictest testing system? Does this mean that my car would most likely pass in other states other than California?

i passed with no cats, no egr, and no evap system!!!!
