Ok I failed again, I apparently need 1 or 2 "check valves". I'm guessing one per each catalytic converter, since I have 2.

Anyone know wtf these things are?

Jim, Best thing about Antique Plate, no more State Safety Inspection. Classic you still need to pass safety inspections, in Pa.

The rguklar inspections don't bother me, as they might catch something I missed, just need to get around the emissions part. Plus I thought there was a night restriction on antique plates, or is that just for the ones without original lighting?

Believe they are inline between the pump and the heads. The OE setup used one on the "Y" pipe that ran across the back of the engine. That pipe connected the 2 heads together to supply the additional air into the exhaust.

On the attached picture, it is barely visible at the rear of the pass side valve cover (kinda bright gold colored). I did not have the pipe connected, so none of the associated piping or pump are present.

Man, am I glad we don't have inspections! (although I hear rumors of an IM240 coming)

Motorcraft Part# CX-1327. Has a hose nipple on one end for the hose to the pump, and a 3/4"-14 thread on the other end to connect to the exhaust pipe. If you're running headers, you could weld one on each exhaust pipe past the collectors, then run them to a tee connection with a single hose from the pump to the tee. You'll have to be careful with hose routing to keep them from getting burned. Stainless braided hose would work well for this. The other option is to make a steel connection pipe similar to the original that is welded between the two exhaust pipes with a tee for a single check valve going into the tee and a hose from the pump to the single check valve.

EGR plate/ spacer

Not sure if you have an egr valve, but if you don't, I found a nifty little EGR SPACER made by Edelbrock, It bolts on the intake directly under the carb, and replaces the factory EGR plate that most people threw away before they started doing these emissions tests. Not to mention, if you have a 4bbl, these were even harder to find. The part number for the 4bbl. EGR plate is Edelbrock 8053. hope this helps.
