Dang Chris, you're wasting no time at all with this. I thought it be a driver for a little bit atleast.

Nice to see it moving towards your ultimate goal. :nice:

Damn! You are wastiong NO TIME. That's cool! I have to say that those are some of the nicest rear wheel openings I've seen on a Fairlane. (I've had one or two.) Are the floorboards as nice as the rest of the car? If so, that was a really good find. Real nice car. :nice:

yeah, i took it over one day and they looked at and said i could leave it, so i said ok!

i haven't pulled up the carpet yet, but the people who checked it out for me said they saw very little rust on the floorboards. one spot that has rust is a the passenger's feet, under where the heater core is, and the heater core is bypassed, so i suspect that it probably leaks.
Wow I agree, giterdone! What are your plans for the engine, 390 I assume, and the trans, is it a c-6?
i plan to leave the 390 as is, at least for now ... it was rebuilt about 5 years (about 10,000 miles) aog, as was the C6 tranny. so the drivetrain should be good for a while.
Sweet man. That Galaxy is cool, too. Are you going to change the wheels on the Fairlane? Some 15" Torq Thrusts would look pretty good on it.
i'm not planning anything right now other than getting getting it to where everything works, and paint, interior and weatherstripping.

wow looks great man.

we soda blasted the 55 chevy's whole back end in the shop, and it was an interesting process.

those pictures are very inspirational, i'd like to get an older car for a project car. If we had a garage at my house i'd be all over it by now.

you keeping the chrome as is, or do you plan on rechroming everything when you have the paint done.
