I was thinking of a 96-98 cobra bumper for my gt.. but I would leave the gt badges and it says mustang gt on the bumper.. I have the 94-95 tails on my car because I think they look better too

I just like the round fogs better

i have a 2003 cobra bumper on my gt, but have changed nothing else. i really like the way the cobra bumpers look and no one is gonna mistake my car for a cobra, but i think the bumper is an awsome design.

I have a 99/01 Cobra front bumper and 00 R hood on mine as well. People putting cobra body pieces on their GT's/V6's isn't a problem....its when they decide to stick Cobra emblems all over their NON-COBRA'S that it becomes a problem.

I pulled up next to a nice looking blue gt last year, but it had Cobra's on the fender's > it still said mustang gt on the rear as if that wasn't a dead give away > the guy just looked at me with a smirk on his face and rev it . I smiled and barked mine back at him > he asked if mine was a real cobra > I said yea, it's a real Cobra and turned on my Nitrous switch under my arm rest > when the light turned green I gave him the proof mine wasn't a fake /heheheh > at the next light he didn't pull back up beside me > I wonder why ?

I was at a Mustang show a couple years ago and they tried to put me in the GT section because I had the pony in the grill.

I suppose no one would have any interest in this car since it is just a poser:

That's a kick-ass GT with a Termi motor. I would be VERY interested in that car. Still, the Cobra badges gotta go.

Badges, we don't need no stinkin' badges.

I don't really like any badges at all and would like to get rid of mine, but there is just that stupid hole underneath the ones on the fenders.

Since there are so many people who imitate Cobras half way, I wonder how many GTs and V6s actually have the full Cobra kit and are fooling everybody.

I have the cobra front (bumper & hood) and in the process of getting the rear spoiler. BUT im not trying to pose as a cobra. I just ABSOLUTELY love the 03-04 cobra styling, imo, its arguably one of the best looking styles out there.

However, that doesn't mean I'm going to buy the rear bumper that says "cobra" or cobra emblems...that would tick me off too lol

I like the Cobra rear...so I bought it
I like the Cobra Moldings...so I bought them
I like the Cobra front...so I bought it
Am I trying to pass it off as anything besides a GT??? NO WAY!!! I just buy what I like for my car, and I will probably buy Cobra brakes soon also, I like my car, I have spent a bunch of money on it, and it makes ME happy.

However EMBLEMS don't make me happy, its a fine line, between emblems and a rear bumper cover, but the bumper cover was changed for looks not to say I have something I don't. Emblems however SCREAM..."Look what I got!"

Truthfully I think my car would look a lot better with the tri-bars from the V-6. Or with no badges at all.

I have actually had kids point and laugh at the snakes, its embarrassing.

I see it as someone thats a want-a-be?
It's ok to take some body parts an incorperate into your ride to make it look nice. But when your out driving around with a knock off cobra

Now its a whole nother thing if they have got the Termi heart transplant

Thats just my .02 I have taken Mach1 body parts and put them tastefully into my GT. But i'm not goin to put a Mach1 badge on my ride
Just be yourself not something your not. That goes for you V6'rs tryin to be riceburners

My car has a GT body, Mach 1 brakes and chin spoiler, 03/04 cobra side skirts and mirrors, 35th anniversary badging, and a termi motor. In a few months it'll have Bullitt seats. I'd like to personally extend an invitation to walk anyone on the street who thinks it's "posing" as something it isn't. Do what you want to your own cars and let others do the same.

I would say I hope no one flames, but honestly I can care less lol my taste is my taste.

So with that being said. I will all day long buy parts from different styles, but I STRONGLY agree about the do not badge your car. the worst was when I was looking at mustangs and the dealership had a mustang GT that the person put cobra badges on and they tried to sell it as a cobra!

Personally my fav look would be a roush stage 3 front bumper, Roush sides, and Cobra Rear with cobra spoiler.

I have the Spoiler and the Mach 1 chin and grill delete, now I just gotta get to the exhaust skirts and bumpers.

Wow this is an old thread,

As long as you understand that your car will always be a fobra and that many mustang owners will give you the look of shame, then that's up to you.

However, don't ever try to pass your car off as cobra at the track, you will just be so embarrassed when a real one shows up that you may never go back.
