Would someone with a '67 or '68 be so kind as to snap a photo for me of where the parking brake cable comes through the firewall and where the opening is in relation to the two bolts that hold the parking brake assembly to the firewall? I have been able to find those two holes (for the bolts) just fine, but for the life of me cannot see where the cable is supposed to come through.

Thank you!

can't post a pic, but I just went to the garage and looked at my 67.

from the inside of the car, beginning where the parking brake assy mounts to the firewall (cable goes around a pulley) the cable angles down and to the right about four inches, and goes into a grommeted hole an inch or two direcly below where the steering column mounts to the firewall.
hope this helps.

ditto on my '68. From underneath the car on mine there is a rubber tube that it runs through.

Sorry, tried posting picture, but error message about picture size only appears after trying to post. There is no info about picture size limits anywhere until you try to post a picture. PM me with an e-mail address if you would like the picture.

I'm not exactly sure what that license plate has to do with this topic but it is humorous. I assume that it is a photochop since Z28s weren't around in 1967.

Thanks!

Thanks guys!

You talk about looking in the wrong place...I would have *never* thought to look under the steering column. Found it right away with the descriptions.

Thanks again!

Glad you found the location. Sorry about being so late, just got home from the beach. I was just heading out the door to San Diego when I read your post. I just happen to have my Stang today, so took a quick picture.

Hey guys,

Sorry to bother you again, but the idler arm bracket had been removed from the bottom of the car, so I ordered a new one.

Problem is, I have no idea where it mounts to? I have the Osbourne Manual, but it doesn't do a very good job of locating the bracket. A couple of photos from one of you guys would be another HUGE help!

Thanks again,

Kelton
