I'm getting ready to order some more body parts for myy 66 vert. I can either patch original fenders or buy replacements. Just wondering how well repo feners (dynacorn) fit. Any input would be appreciated. thanks

You can use them, but you might want to consider the "original tool" fenders.

Huge price difference betwwen originla tool and repo $200 a piece. Be cheaper to patch the originals. Does anyone have any experience on how well the repo's fit?

The LF on mine is a repro and I am going to replace it with an original tooling fender. It is thinner and the contours don't follow the rest of the car around the door and cowl as well as the original.

Glazier/Nolan can supply any of the "original tool" body parts available, they are big fans of the OT stuff, since they use it in their own shop.

I bought a couple of the patch panels (bottom by the door) several years ago and they didn't look right. Somebody might have some that'll look right though. I wound up buying some of the original tooling fenders.

There's a lot to look at, must be over a hundred restoration photos.

I got my original tooling fenders from CJ Pony parts. Just showed up last Thursday . They had everything 15% off for the month of Feb, got the pair for $490. Boy are they sweet looking! I too was concerned about repop thickness and character line lineup. Put repop doors on it, and the edge lines are absolutely HORRIBLE! Character lines were ok, but edges are anything but straight, gonna have to do some edge welding on the doors to get them straight and close up gaps. Hoping to get fenders hung this weekend, and hoping to have the car out for paint before the end of the month.
