feul pressure regulator

Does anyone know of an easy way to swap the feul pressure regulator. Tried earlier to swap it but ran out of time and had to put everything back together. :notnice: Can't get to the allen heads that hold it on except for one of them. All help and suggestions are appeciated. Thanks

Well, its going to involve removing the upper intake. Heres what I did..... I did that and put on my aeromotive. When I was done I put lots of tiny dots of superglue between the gasket and the upper. I had no issues with the gasket moving no matter how clumsy I was! Your welcome :D

I did it without removing the intake. The key was to cut down the hex wrench shorter so it fits under the fuel rails. Also, if you notice, the hex heads are square faced, meaning the wrench must fit exactly in the hole to turn. Normal ones have slightly rounded edges, which effectively makes the hole a little larger, which in turn guides the hex wrench in. Basically, without the rounded edges, it took 10 tries to get the key into the head, only to turn it a quarter turn. My solution was to slightly round off the edges of the hex key to make it easier. If you have no idea what I am talking about, look at the hex bolts you take off of the stock regulator and compare them to the new ones you should get with your new regulator.

Well, for starters I wouldn’t' suggest doing it at all if you're short of time. It's a finicky job, so it's gonna take a little time and patience. And although it would be easier to do after removing the upper intake, it's not really practical from my perspective. That's like pulling the engine to change the sparkplugs. :D I suppose if you're really having problems, you may be able to remove the 2-screws on each side of the fuel rails where they're bolted to the manifold in order to pry up on them enough to get your hands in there, but I just did it with a small Allen key and patience!
