85 the manual tranny HO was carbed; the automatic was the old CFI injection; 86 - 88 was speed density injection except CA for 88 was mass air injection; 89-95 was mass air injection. The CR in 85 and 86 was a bit higher I believe; forged pistons up until the last 2 months of 92 production. So late 92's (Jul/Aug production) had hypereutectics - as did 93-95's. Compression ratio for the later cars was right around 9:1 -- never as high as 10:1. Someone else will have to break CR's down by year for you.

....and who STILL doesn't really know what year Stang the engine in his car came out of! The junkyard receipt said '91, the A9L computer in it (purportedly from the same car) had "89 Vert" written on it in paint stick, but when we ran the barcode/part number on the computer it said it came out of a 90 model. Go figure....the whole car has an identity crisis, why shouldn't the engine?
