Anyone know is a stock supercharger a 03 cobra will fit a stock 99 cobra? if not Anyone know of a good affordable supercharger on the market? i can live without one if it means spending 5000+ on it and install. Cobra is stock now with the exception of the exaust. seems the 99-01 cobras are neglegted a bit in the aftermarket department? are some gt parts interchangeable or does 03- model cobra parts fit.

Welcome to the board svtstand99.

Your question is a very popular one for "new-to-me" 99 and 01 cobra owners. Unless you are able to score most of the 03/04 Cobra Eaton swap parts for cheap, it'll probably be more cost effective to just buy an aftermarket supercharger system (ie - Vortech, ProCharger, etc) from the get go.

Try the following thread and use the "search" feature of the msg board while using keywords such as "Eaton," "swap," etc. Doing so will yield a few similar threads outlining the Eaton swap process:

G'luck.

Thanks for the reply greatly appreaciated. This cobra is my first ive had a 5.0 before. im still kinda lost on this 4.6 engine. Wasnt aware if its little quirks i guess. Got stuck in revere the other day.... that was intresting . previous owner tells me i need to either drive in reverse for a while or rock the car back and fourth. i wasnt too happy bout that. Anyway any bolt on suggestions to add some horses to the car? ive been told to leave the internals of the engine alone since it performs effiicently as is. I ve heard pulleys etc arent worth the minor gain in hp.
