few questions about this motor swap??????

ok i took the old worn out 289 out of the mustang and im getting everything ready for the new 347.
1. can i re-use the plate that goes between the motor and trans with my new motor, even tho im now going to have a C4 and not a manual?
2. can i re-use the starter from old motor to new?
3. also what is the old 289 FoMoCo motor worth? im going to just dump it cause i dont want it or the trans. says FoMoCo on block and heads.

1. No if you are going to a auto they have a little inspection plate cover that bolts on the bottom of the tranny/bellhousing
2. Yes you should be able to do this. My 351w uses the starter my 302 did. Aslong as the tooth count and diameter of the flywheel/flexplate are the same.
3. Don't have a clue.
