Ok since I am up here at college I have had a lot of time to think about where I want my project to go. I was originally going to keep my C4 for ease of use but now I am contemplating switching over to a 6 spd gearbox. I know that it is not any easy conversion or cheap for that matter. My first question is does anyone make a pre-fabricated transmission crossmember for a 6spd gearbox or will I have to ask one of you nice gentlemen to spare some time that I will pay for??
My second question is about the pedal assembly. Now I know that this is wierd but I was wondering if it is possible to use a pedal setup from a 99+ mustang. The reason I ask is becuase I want to use the Bullitt pedal covers for their nice clean look. If anyone has done or tried this or knows how that would be some really helpful information. Thanks guys.

wow... where to start on this.

You will have to make a crossmember for the tranny to bolt up to. In a 66, you will need to raise the transmission tunnel 2-3" to fit it under the car. You can use any year clutch pedal and brake pedal assembly but you are looking at lots of fabrication and possibly changing your brake master cylinder. The setup just was not designed for the car. I planned on doing the same thing but my car was going to ahve a 2002GT interior and it would all sorta correspond together. With enough time and money, anything can happen. Screw bullitt pedal covers, its not worth all that hassle just for pedal covers. You can buy aluminium looking ones that look just as good.
