fiberglass front 1/4s

i'm planing a head a bit so don't get caught without any money and no front 1/4s. the front 1/4s that came with my car were replaced with after market fiberglass (the ones that sell for about 250-300 new), but see i HATE fiberglass... its soo.. meh.. anyway, i was thinking if i sold thoughs ones and bought some metal ones would i be adding a lot of weight? becuase sheet metal is not at all heavy and is much thiner than fiberglass. any help wanted. thanks.

yea they are on/for a 67. i might not even get rid of them if that helps . i just have this huge beef with fiberglass, i like metal. it has personality.. 'glass is just so.. always the same temp. and i'm scared i'm gonna brake it if i put any weight on them at all.
