wanting to purchase a FG hood for my 95. either a standard cowl or a cobra r ( double hump ). lucky me having a rio red car, its a buttload of $$ to have it painted. so , i would be running the hood in the white gel coat for a while.

heres what im looking for:

-cowl or cobra r hood.....that uses factory hardware or included hardware that latches. i do not want to have 4 hood pins.

-a finished underside.....not one with the brown raw fiberglass.

-a glossy white gel coat....one shiney enough to run without painting. no huge gouges or pits or waves

-one i can just bolt on and it fits with no rubbing (is that possible?)

-2.5" - 3" ?

im running tall deck valve covers and a TFS street heat intake. surely a 2.5 - 3 will clear.

i found some on ebay. they are priced cheap (shipping is high). i just wonder how good / bad they are. heres the links if anyone has had any experience with these:

any place else that you guys have had experience with or heard good things about, please let me with a website.

all comments and help sure appreciated.

I have the ABC Exclusive 2.5 Cobra RR and it's everything you’ve just describer above.

If I ever had to order another hood it would be from ABC Exclusive, it fit perfectly as soon as I sat in on the car.

the best and last hood you'll ever by the quality blows Cervini's out of the water....

www.hofibertrends.com

got a buddy of mine that bought a cervinis for his f150, he wasnt 100% happy with it for what he paid.

hofibertrends is $369 i believe + shipping.....i was hoping to find one maybe cheaper. i do appreciate the link tho. im not ruling it out

Sure here is there website http://www.abcexclusive.com/

The pics I posted earlier were right after I received the Cobra RR hood from UPS that’s why you see some of the cardboard and bubble wrap on or under the hood still.
Shipping? I believe I paid $85-90, and it took about 1 week to get the Cobra RR hood from ABC Exclusive, but on the same day ordered the Cobra RR from ABC Exclusive I also order a Cervini stalker bumper cover from Cervini’s. I paid $150 shipping for the Cervini stalker bumper cover and it was delivered 2 weeks after I received my ABC Cobra RR hood, and both companies said that the had there products ready to ship when I called them and asked them.
ABC called me the day it was shipped and gave me the tracking # and then did a follow up phone call once it was delivered. I never heard a word from Cervini’s.

These pics were taken after I got all the cardboard and bubble wrap off the ABC Cobra RR hood when I did a test fit to see if the hood would line up or not.
Obviously the whole car need to be painted, which was done a few weeks later.

i have an HO, great quality.
but the main difference between HO and Cervini is cervini has a finished underside for that show car look. they also say on cervini's website that they suggest hoodpins. As HO reinforces both primary and secondary latches so you dont need hood pins on certain models. when you look at a FRPP catalog, the hoods they sell in those are HO.

you wont see many ads for HO hoods as its main advertisement is through its products. basically word of mouth.
