FWIW... if I had a need for a set I'd trust my life to them, and my tongue is not in my cheek nor are my fingers crossed. I fully trust the "It is stronger than the original part" theory.

Yeah seeing your avatar I can understand you being defensive. The forum should be non-political, though I do respect your right of free speach, I'd be a lot more receptive to your comments if I knew there wasn't a political objective all the time. Not said to inflame feelings, I just wish you'd keep everything here Mustang related, and that avatar AINT.

I thought the same thing too. It doesn't have to be cast into the piece, just a blurb on or in the packaging. What are the chances an agency will look at it and know it's not a stock part? I would think this would be more of a CYA type deal (cover your ***), that and "not for racing purposes". In this sue happy world.... I don't know how you handle this, I guess you've looked into it thoroughly. I would not be afraid to put a set on my car and drive it on the street or the track, but I don't want to see you loose your *** by some stupid mishap.

Historic, I don't think his sole purpose is to sell. He's been a member for a while and has brought other subjects up. I think he saw a need, and had the ability to fill it. I don't really have a problem with it.

If a guy is driving a bumpsteering, Granada spindled car with a MustangSteve outer tie rod taper shim and he gets in an accident due to a brake/knuckle related problem can he sue the Ford Motor Company for not stamping "For Granada Purposes Only, Not For Modified Use on Mustangs Built Between 1964 and 1970!" on the casting?

Actually yes, it's nice to look at but I wouldn't want to ride her. Someone really should have told that poor dear that her original breasts, lips and cheek bones were just fine the way they were. Why she would replace those original time warn and tested components with modern day silicone, collagen and plastic is beyond me. Not to mention the thousands of dollars wasted on it all.

Granada single piston floating type. I will later offer brackets for 68-73 type calipers.

Isn't the 68-73 caliper a floating single-piston design? I hope so, since that's whats on my car

If you wanted to make some hay, you could make spindles that accept the aluminum Mustang GT twin-pots from approx 1999-2004. If you could do that for less (or semi-close since you are offering new spindles as well) than the lower-end Wilwood setup, you could retire tomorrow.

I understand your point. It's a matter of ecomonics. The majority of us wanting to upgrade their Mustang's front drum brakes are content to use 11" OEM Mustang based system. This spindle design, although commonly found on the Grananda series, was first used with a smaller pin in 68 Mustang. The pin was enlarged in 70. The caliper types I mentioned use different brackets and are roughly equivalent in performance. Many million of the Granada/Maverick/Pinto type calipers were produced and they are still available as $15 rebuilds (including core charge). Most users are very happy with the performance of this system. The later Mustang type rebuilt caliper cost $80-100. The later model calipers may be more sexy, but I prefer to offer a system (stress system) with proven performance and economy.

Let's also be practical. We are talking about two different markets. There is the performance market and there is the driver market. The performance market is image driven and requires marketing and "label" to succeed. The driver market is economics driven and requires economical or, in many cases such as parts store brands , cheap parts. I choose the driver route, at this time, since I don't have the resources to compete in the performance market. In any case, I will only produce or sell parts that are quality made and fit for the intended purpose.
