well, i just got my new head bolts in the mail and need to know the best way to put them on. I have my whole engine all assembeld and in the car, ready to go, no upper intake, but the head bolts the machinest used have been reused 2 times before, by me

so im thinking i can take the old head bolts out in that torqing pattern, replacing them with the new ones, one by one... would that work? i dont feel like pulling my lower intake off.

thanks

You can replace them one by one but dont torque them until they are all switched over. Then retorque them in order and you should be all set

good deal, i just wanted to make sure that de-torqing the bolts wont warp or mess up the lower intake in any way...

so other than the head bolts, im pretty much done set ready to go. now i just need to know how to finish off my rocker arms. the whole set is ready to go aside from 2 of them on the #8 cylinder. how would i tighen them down properly? i know the cylinder has to be at TDC, but its a hydrolic cam and stock hydraulic lifters, and there pedestal mount roller rockers

and im also wondering about this hole thats on the passenger side of the block, down right above the oil pan... not very big, maybe the size of a pen end, and its threaded. i thought it was oil pressure, but maybe not

thanks
