Ok i know we've all heard WAY too mcuh about this but i figured what the hell? Ok first of all i don't claim in to be very educated in politics at all, and i do plead igonorance for some things( electoral votes, FTF ? ho does that work) But it seems the most like things to happen are..

1.Bush, we know what he thinks, we have a war on "terror" that must be won. So he is goin to keep guys in Iraq for as long as it takes... but too do what ? he really has no long term plan. He is wageing a war on some thing that is impossible to win! does he really thing he can rid the world of "terror" is he really that ignortant? the debt is 47 billion ? in a few years won't the debt be huge and make the dollar worth a LOT less? Isn't that basicly why the depression of the 30's got started ?

2. Kerry,....hm who knows no reall goals stated, who know what he whould do with all the troops in iraq...he seems to have no goals excpets talk trash about bush..

Wow what a great couple of choice, Sorry for the rant but it really seems that were in trouble either way.. wish i had a choice i could feel good about..

Anybodys thoughts ?

For me it boiled down to this one thing. I know what kind of president we have in Bush. For ME he was mediocre, not terrible but not great. Kerry on the other hand, was unknown, and that is why I voted for him. I’d rather go with an unknown then a middle of the road.

Ohh boy... The Great Depression started off with the crash of the stock market not with was over-spending, but anyways, "he" is not ignorant for waging war at terror, it would be a lot worst it "he" was to stay put and do nothing in relation to terror (Iraq was not part of the terror to us). It would basically tell terrorists that it would be ok and no consequences would follow.

Anyways Kerry won in OR and WA.

I think bush sucks big time. Plus on top of the war crap he banned embryionic stem cells. That will keep guys like me in a wheelchair longer.

*****er, with stem cells you will save 3000 life's a day that's a 911 everyday!

How can bush be better against fighting terrorism?
Home land security was jeopardized by bin laden supposivly in afghan.
Then why the hell are most of our troops in iraq?

*eyeroll*

History is going to look back upon the first decade of this millenium and notice that it was the decade when America gave up civil liberties and traded them for fear.

This war is far from over even if Kerry wins, all my staff at MCCDC Quantico was saying there are three types of Marines: Marines that are in Iraq, Marines that have been in Iraq, and Marines that are going to Iraq. That only tells me one thing.

The majority have spoken...

America will get what it deserves and wants!

I worked the Kerry campaign as a volunteer for the last two months. Partly because after graduating from college in 2000 I have been unable to find a living wage job. I strongly believe we needed a new start --mostly in the eye of the world. I personally am ashamed that we have decided Bush is the right choice.

Unfortunately I think we will not see terrorism against us diminished--though I wish that were not true.

But hey, look on the bright side, them "queers" won't be able to marry, we will drill in Alaska while giving tax breaks to SUV buyers, we will stop them "whores" from getting abortions, and our kids will learn the ten commandments in public school! What could possibly be more important than that?

I am as well disapointed in the fact that we have to have Bush for 4 more long and broke years and don't forget about all those tax brakes that I hear about all I know is that I pay more taxes every year and pay more at the end of the year this country is in for a long term. My job has been affected by Bush being the man in charge and now it can only get worse not sure what the future lies now with the country but I don't believe it can be good peace everybody

well if someone walks up and punches u in the face, u will punch back as we did on 9/11.
we did what we felt is right in iraq and many soldiers keep their heads up high knowing that they at least got 1 dictator out of the way who was tormenting people in the country.
even if kerry came into office, what are the chances of him actually pulling troops out of iraq. it would be slim to none... until the job was finished.
we tried the isolationist game during world war 2 and it ended up bringing us into war when japan attacked us inadvertantly.

Thanks Paul,

I knew who had said it at one point, but a quick search didn't turn anything up. I may have misworded it, but I know the sentiment is there.

The Republicans successfully played the the G's for the win: God, guns, and gays.
The Democrats are going to have to stop running people from New England, and move to the right. This election reflected the division in values and perspectives between cities and small towns. Look at our own results by county. It's possible to see the voting pattern here in WA as well as across the country. Rural areas supported Bush, urban areas supported Kerry.
