Finally Dropped It (PICS)

hmmm..either thats not low enough or you need some 18's and less tire side-wall. I don't mean gangster low, but another .5-.75 inches all around... Either way, its a huge improvment over stock 4x4 height, so congrats. :nice:

Thanks guys. I installed prothane isolators hoping that it would raise the car a bit. My driveway has a steep incline and I was worried about not being able to get out. I can now only back into my garage where as before I`d drive in nose first. Oh well, a small price to pay  .

Looks sick...any bump steering problems?

Why cant you just pull into ur garage anymore?

I was thinking H&R SS or Steeda Sport Springs...still debating between the two...it looks like Steedas dont drop it enough, but then H&R drop it to much.. :bang:

No bumpsteer problems what so ever. With the MM plates they give a new alignment spec and explain that you shouldn`t get bumpsteer with thier setting. They were right. As for picking the H&R`s, I didn`t want to spend all the cash on mods that I wouldn`t notice. For ME, a Pro-Kit just doesn`t look dropped. The H&R`s with the prothane isolators seem to suit me just right. I installed them myself and with no ones help in my own garage. The longest part was installing the first C/C plate because I had never done one before. After that, very very easy.

H&R race springs only drop 1.25'' front and 1'' rear. The SS drop the car a lot more. However for those with handleing in mind, the race springs work far better, and provide the optimum amount of a drop for handleing, any more of a drop and handleing is affected adversely. I will be getting the race springs soon.

it's ok too have some fenderwell showing. i don't think they look good slammed into the ground. 1 inch 1.5 tops anything else after that looks awfull . the wheels look like they are shoved into the body..

How are the mach 1 shocks and struts?

After some of the guys on this board mentioned that the Mach1 shocks are a pretty good match for the H&R SS I decided to give them a try. Now I would have prefered bilsteins for sure but at $179.99 for the 4 Mach1 shocks I figured even if they last me 2 years I'd have time to save up for the bilsteins the next time. Well I have to say, the whole setup feels really good. I recommend them for an affordable shocks/struts combo. The front struts are thicker than stock and the rear shocks are much stiffer than stock. As for the wheel gap, again I feel it looks just about right. Then again we all have our own opinions on what looks good and what doesn't :D .
