This was all done by hand. I started at 1pm and was done by about 6pm. My arm is pretty tired.

I plan on painting the inside of the star black or charcoal, that should make the shine more eye catching.

PRETTY...

For painting the wheels I would probably go cheap and rattle can it....

Not interested in polishing the rest. I would rather paint them a darker color and make the face stand out more. I'll see if I can do it over the weekend, I'll post up pics.

Dark, I know what you mean, I just hope I can find a charcoal color, I haven't really looked but the times I've bought paint, I haven't seen a charcoal color.

I think I have a problem here.

If you can't find it over the counter, go to an automotive paint store, get charcoal, then pick up a spray bottle from NAPA for about $7 and go to town Those work great.

since you polish stuff all the time, there are some parts of the wheel that are a lil hazy, how can I get rid of that?

Were they polished or painted to begin with? I'm going to be doing some similar work on my wheels soon.

They were painted silver, but I had someone else remove and try to polish them out. They did a ****ty job, so I just sanded them with 800-1000-1500 and then polished them out. I used onebad95's polish.

I'd say go with black on the inside. Somebody that I work with has machined wheels that have a pretty good shine to them and are painted black on the inside. If I remember I'll take my camera to work tomorrow and get a pic.

Dave, I would appreciate it if you could take the pics and post them up. That way I can make my mind up.
Thanks

how did you polish them? if you finish it off with polishing compounds, or minimum a mother's power ball, it will shine even more i bet. But nice job, i know how much work that is.....when i did my intake i learnt.

That looks hot Coupe. I wish mine would shine that much. After several polishes, i hope they get there. I'm currently running 255/45 out back but really want 285/40s. I already asked a local tire shop and they told me that they do fit. They'll bulge out a bit, but that's how I like it.

Paul, take it, I might sand them again to repolish.

Green, I used Charlie's(onebad95) polish. The two part one. I didn't use a buffer, so I know I can probably get more shine out of them with one. I have several friends that work at the local Advanced and they tried out the power ball, and they all said that it sucked ball.
