Just fired up the engine. I had to stab the distribator a few times but got it running. Sounds mean as hell. But I got the fuel pressure at 40 psi but to start it after the first time I had to hold the pedel to the floor then it started. Do I have to much fuel pressure? Also what is the break in for the motor?

Nick is onto something probably. The 30's might be giving too much cranking-fuel..............

Good luck.

So back it down to 38 psi and see if that helps. I have timing at 18 degrees advanced. I have ran it for only 10 mins at max I am going to change oil. Then I am going to break the motor in. I searched the threads and I have read to gradually run up the RPM's to about 4000 in 2nd or 3rd gear and let the car slow down by the RPM's. Does this sound right?
