After a long 3 and a 1/2 month wait I finally got my 4.10's and 31 splines in today.
Gears should DEFINATELY be a factory installed option! Now, driving my car feels like it's about 500#'s lighter.
Even though some people will disagree, I plan on taking it easy for a few hundred miles to let the gears get a nice break in before I do any hole shots or serious thrashing. So far I am very pleased driving with the new gears. Downshifting to accelerate isn't really needed that much anymore, and I find myself starting out in 2nd gear more often than 1st. Starting out in 2nd feels like starting out in 1st with 3.27's. Also I'm going into 5th more than I was before. I know it's been repeated time and time again, but I'll have to STRONGLY AGREE with others who have said it before me DON'T FEAR THE GEAR!!!!!
If your going to stay N/A like me, go with a 4.10 or even a 4.30. YOU WON'T REGRET IT! Next up, a new FRPP Aluminum D/S and D/M Speed Cal go in on Saturday. Later GT JAY

It's very tempting, but all the guys in the garage and all the guys in the Gear lab here at work told me to take it easy for the first 2-300 miles. Most of them have 25-30+ years in the rear axle departments here at Ford so I think I'll listen to them so I won't have to listen to a whining rear axle down the road. I'll let you know what happens next weekend after I go back to the track. Hopefully I'll be able to get traction this time with a little help from my buddys 315 Nitto's,the gears and pullys, and be able to run low 14's hi 13's. And hopefully it won't be so hot like it has been the past couple of days. We'll see!
how much extra did it cost you guys for the parts? I can kill the 4 bank sct and udp's if i had too. Or should I just wait till my current rear breaks?
