I've had most of the stuff sitting on the shelf for months and months now. Hell, I think i've had my springs and shocks for almost a year. Well, I finally installed everything this past weekend. Friday night I got the new Tokico springs and struts installed up front along with new poly isolators. On Saturday I installed new springs and shocks in the rear (again, Tokico), along with Granatelli upper and lower control arms, poly isolators, and all poly bushings (except for the bushings that connect the uppers to the subframe. those were left as stock rubber). HOLY CRAP what a difference. No more wheel hop, even without the quads installed. The car now stays much flatter through turns and has very little body roll. Launching from a stop on grippy asphalt I can now just grab and go instead of spinning and hopping all over the place.

There were a couple of disappointments though.
1) The car isn't any lower than it was before. Even though the spring/shock kit is supposed to lower 1-1.25" the car is the same exact height as it was before. That's not really a bad thing though since the extra ground clearance is kinda nice. I would have liked it to be about a half inch or so lower though, purely for appearance.
2) I had MAC caster/camber plates to go on up front, but couldnt' get the damn things to fit. No matter what I tried, they wouldn't fit on the strut. The part of the plate that is adjustable is just too thick. The only way everything would fit is if i left off the dust covers and/or the spacers that the instructions say are required. I'll have to figure out how to get these to work since I really want to set my camber beyond stock specs.

I'll post pictures of the shiny new bits later.

edit: Here are the pics.

I also want to note that I reused the stock bolts instead of the ones that came with the control arms. The bolts that came with the control arms were 8.8s while the stockers are 10.9s. I did use the nuts that came with the control arms though, since they are nylock and the stock nuts aren't.

Cue-Ball:

Smokedya is right. Give the new springs about 3-4 weeks to fully settle. I'm sure you'll be happy with the outcome when they do.

I thought about the springs settling as well. If they do, that's cool. If not, that's fine too. The car is low enough to not look like a 4X4 which is good enough. If it goes a little lower, great. The main reason I wanted the springs/shocks was for the handling, not the look. Although, if it ends up looking better that's just a bonus.
