Finally had the time to finish the car.

I have finally found the time to finish the 5 spd swap from an aode. Also installed an F-cam and did some preventive maintainance while the drivetrain was out.

Mellings high volume oil pump
FRPP oil pump drive shaft
New oil pan due to some rust on the old one
Rear main seal
Power steering rack, old one had a dead spot
motor mounts
Tranny mount

For the swap, I used a King Cobra Clutch and a B&M Pro-Ripper shifter

The swap was actually pretty easy to do (on a lift of course). It couldn't have gone any smoother.

The biggest addition was the F-cam. I love it. It's like a totally diff car....

It was really bad last night and this morning. It was putting and small backfires through the intake tube. Once I started checking everything over, I found out that the adjustment bolt for the distributor had backed off and the timing got all screwed up.

I just set it back at 14 deg and it runs and idles very well. I can get a rolling start in first about 10 mph and just floor it, it will just spin right through first and I can rip a seriously mean second. It's been a while since i've driven a standard. My buddy can get rip into fourth with it.

Upper RPM range is unbelievable now. Gotta be carefull using the highway on ramps, she like to kick out now....LOL

Next is 3:73's and a complete exhaust.

I'd like to keep it somewhat decent for the highway. That's why I'm thinking of 3:73's
