after over a year of thought, i have finally decided to buy the corbra killer kit with the vortec s/c and the power pipe. considering cost, streetability, and keeping my motor as safe as possible, this kit makes the most sense to me. about how much rear wheel horsepower should i make an otherwise stock automatic 99 stang?

uh..ok lol. i am sure just the blower will not do it, and thats ok, i am not even trying to. i have stock formula, and a mildly modified trans am in my sites first actually. but my main purpose it to make that car more fun to drive, and get decent times at the track. so does anyone have any numbers? i will be happy with 350 at the wheels. i am gonna open the exhaust up next, so if the blower does not make 350, i am sure the exhaust will.

well the car wil be driven in rain and stuff, it is my everyday car. i like the fact that when i am not getting on it, it will drive almost like stock. also, i will have piece of mind with the reflashed computer and the way the cobrakiller tune helps to keep the motor safe.

Good choice on the cobra killer kit. I hope to have one myself within the next couple of weeks.

Not trying to change your mind or anything, but when you are not into it the KB is just sitting there quietly. It is not until you get into the throttle that it unleashes a horrific whine and gobs of torque. :worship:

yeah i am sure it would be drivable, but i think i have made up my mind. i am ordering this week, as soon as some money that is coming to me gets here. i know the KB is a better performer, but the fact that not a single engine with this kit has been lost is the main reason i am buying it.

Is 12 PSI on a stock engine safe? If so KB is calling my name, if not, i will have to build my own motor...and then slap on a 12 PSI kit

glad to see your getting blown. I chose a KB myself. but the cobra killer kit was my other choice, and it also took me more then a year to make up my mind. you cant go wrong either way. one reason i could not decide was the fact that i wanted it to be as safe as possible. so i am going to limit boost to 6psi, till i do the internals. at the lower boost levels the KB seems to make sense. to me anyway.

If everybody liked the same one, they would only make one type. lol

I think with an INSANELY safe tune, 68 & 00 on the board made 368 hp, but he also had other work done. Oh and this is also one a 111k mile engine. I think on an otherwise stock motor, the CK kit is worth about 125 more hp. I think most people dyno about 380 hp with that kit. Congrats, I hope to get one sometime.

man before you call them up... id realyl think about the KB!!!! the cobra killer is a veyr good kit, dont get me wrong, but it's just not KB<--------

i have thought about it. for over a year lol. and for my purposes, the cobra killer is better.

also, not that this had any part of my decision making, but don't the centrifical superchargers beat the kb's at the track on a consistant basis?
