Looks very sweet . All these brand new painted stangs is has gotten me on the new paint band wangon. Alot of our cars even w/ 9 yr old paint still look pettty nice but mine like alot of the other cars here is due for some new paint even though it still looks pretty decent.

Just out of courisity how much did your paint job cost Ive been told between 2-3K from the guy Im going to so Im just seeing where that falls in the price range of what everyone else has paid. This is still a few yrs down the road but I want to get all my ducks in a row and make sure I have the $$$ to do it.

Well the guy who painted it would kill me for telling you this but I paid 2700 for a complete paint job and the lightning scheme. He said if anybody asks it was a 3500-3800 dollar job... lol

He charged me 2400 to paint the whole car and to put on the new hood and bumper and 300 for the scheme...

schweet Thats what I was wondering b/c I was expecting to pay close to 4K for a entire paint job but the guy Im having mine done buy is also a club member and hes the body shop manager at one of the local Ford dealerships, that helps I think he said it would be around $2,500.

Im so stoked right now... I just got back from a smaller local car show (100 cars or so). First i got first in my class.. Street Machine 77-04. Which i was competing with a bunch of mustangs, camero's, etc. And there were some nice cars... Not to mention this is Chevy country right now... There were probably 12-15 cars in my class.

Then to top it off i got the award for best paint... I was shocked to say the least... It was a judged show too.. (not participant judge)
But the guy who painted my car said that the car was one of the straightest cars he had painted... So that might have helped.
