After several problems, mis-ships, mistakes, etc. I finally got some new wheels and tires for the '90 Mustang. 17x8 front with 245/45-17 and 17x9 rear with 275/40-17. The tires are Nitto 555Rs (not the DRs or road race tires). Probably not everyone's cup of tea, but i really like the way they look. Had to pull the quads to get the rears to fit though. Now the back end hops like a bunny when i burn 'em. I'm going to have to figure something out for that. Either a 1/4" spacer or some aftermarket LCAs. I've got new shocks and springs on the way which should lower the car about 1.25" so i'll probably have to roll the fenders as well.

If anyone needs a set of 17x8 1996 Cobra wheels, i now have some up for sale. A couple of the wheels have some curbing, but overall they're in pretty good shape. $300 for the whole set. Two of them still have tires mounted (and even a little tread left!). The tires aren't great, but could get someone by for a few months easy.

Anyway, on to the pic:

Hopefully i can get more pics soon, but i'm going to be super busy with yardwork this weekend.

Hey Grant..... the car looks great like that! Of course, it would have looked good with ROH ZS wheels on it too.... hehehehe.

But I really do like the look it has.

You don't need to replace your control arms, just order a set of poly bushings and you will be fixed for cheap. We may be neighbors? I am on Yarrrow Point.

Did you try flipping the quads around the other way.

This is a very common thing to do.

I still have quads on my car with 17x9s and 275s.

I live in the Kingsgate division of Kirkland. Guess someone else is your neighbor.

I thought about just replacing the bushings, but i know that it's a giant pain, so doing the whole control arm might be easier, though a bit more expensive.

Had i known you were selling them sooner, i would have probably bought your wheels instead. That's okay though because i'm really happy with what i've got now. I just have to figure out the clearance issues and i'll be good to go. Hopefully lowering the car doesn't cause any other problems. I'm definitely going to roll the fenders before i put on the new shocks and springs. These new tires REALLY stiffened up the ride so i have a feeling that i'm going to need a chiropractor after i mount the new suspension.

I tried flipping them first and they still touched at full droop. They might clear at normal ride height, but i want to make absolutely sure nothing is going to rub back there. My wheels are +24mm offset. Maybe yours are +18mm?

I have a set of double adjustable upper rear control arms laying around here if you are interested? $40 for the pair. These alone may solve your wheel hop problem. Call me if you want them.

Sorry this took so long. I've been having problems with my digital camera and had to buy a new battery and charger. Pics of the wheels for sale are available here: http://mustanglife.tenmagazines.com/mygallery.ten-id-3738-album-8577

The one wheel is the only bad one. Honestly, when i had the wheels on there i never really noticed the marks. I only really paid much attention to them when i had the wheels off, or when i was cleaning them. They're not perfect, but they're still pretty cheap for anyone looking for a decent set of wheels. *shrug* I'll probably just throw them up on eBay and be done with it.
