Finally Ordered Gears (and other parts)

Well after a while hesitating with the stock gears, I finally got around to purchasing some FRPP 3.73s. Is the difference really that big? I ran 14.3 @ 99 mph on street tires with stock gears a 2.3 or 2.4 60' while spinning. I kinda wanted to go to 13.9xx on stock gears but oh well i don't feel like I can wait any longer. I Definitely know I could have gotten it but OH well! I'll keep you guys updated on my progress. It better feel like a whole different car with gears! ( I hope )

I also purchased some MAC ceramic coated headers, a prochamber, and my other autometer lunar gauge (oil pressure). Christmas is coming early for me! I think the definitely has a 12 in it with traction in the early spring! I am going to be shooting for a 12.5 N/A by the end of the summer. Then I will probably try a 100shot of nitrous and go for 11s I still haven't purchased U/D pulleys yet though :-\

It'll be a whole new animal. As for running 13's, you might not if you're having traction issues before gears. If you already have trouble hooking up, and then you swap gears, it's gonna make it harder. That's what people were telling me when I did them. It's true too, but you never know. You'll love them anyway! Good choice!

3.73's got me down about .3, my driving was getting better the while maybe that was the reason. I felt like i had to learn to drive it all over again...

3.73's are a HUGE improvement over the stockers, have fun only going 10feet infirst gear before shifting (2k rpms)

You'll hate the 3.73's. I wish I would have stuck with the 2.73's. Its all hipe, there is no difference at all in the feel of the car. Its all propiganda to sell us gears..... Oh hell , who am I kidding, you'll love em. To me it was just like losing 5th gear and gaining a gear under 1st. Drive your car in 4th and that will be what 5th is like once you finish the install. Interesting. I thought 3.08s and 3.27 were the only stock gearsets for 94-95's.

You didnt need gears to get 13's.DR's would have did it for you,if you got your 60's down to 1.9 or better,you would have been in the 13's!!! 373's are great,but if you had traction problems before,there just gonna be worse now.But it will pull harder in all the gears

I'm also planning on drag radials this winter. So traction should be fine.
