I ordered my car on 10/20 and picked up my DORA and VIN on 11/4 (I wanted to have the VIN before giving the dealer my deposit) and was told "your car was given a build date of 10/27", but when I called Ford when I got home they told me "your car is on a temporary delay in production" and remained in that status until early December when Ford told me "car has been serialized and is waiting for a build date", then a few days later I got the news "scheduled for build week of 12/13".
I got conflicting information the next time I called...one person said "your car is being built and will be released from the plant on 12/20 and it will arrive around 1/7" and another person told me "as of 12/14 your car has been shipped via convoy carrier and would arrive week of 12/25"
I called today and my car is scheduled to be built the week of April 25th. When is yours scheduled to be built? So I hopefully this means I will finally have my car sometime in May.
That sucks we were serialized on the same day an you get yours built the week before. Oh, well at least both of ours have been serialized with a build date.
I know waiting since January has been driving me crazy, especially since I got to test drive one. Its was like being teased, oh well just hang in and I am sure you will get serialized soon.
