Well I think its about time I broke down and got some subframes for the stang. Cutting 1.7 60fts the way it is now and I can really feel this sucker twisting under launch so I think its about time. Found a set of subframes from CJ ponyparts with the cross brace for $50. And can just weld them in at work. What do you guys think?

$50 for Sub-frame connector is cheap. You got a link? I might want to have that for the future.

No my car is not a full out race car... No vert will ever be. I want a weekend car i can take to the track and have some fun with... You guys know im only 23... But i do have plans for the car... The limiting factor on my car is $$$ id go balls to the wall with it if i could. Time is another factor to me... because i figure whats the point of paying someone for something i want to learn how to do my self.

Its defiantly getting a bottle or blower shortly. And with a vert through the floors would be awesome. Chris has already proved that he can take on the task so i figured i might as well go for it too. Id like to get the car on the road for the summer and the cage will probably be a winter project. But i do plan on getting kicked out of the track atleast once this summer.

If this car doesent end up with a power added its going to be a weekend car and you guys will probably see me with a 4 eyed 460 notch or something along them lines lol

Would like to but im just getting a weld in, pre notched, 6 point with harness mount to pass inspection at the track. I like to race... I go to Atco, e-town, cecil. Still unsure if i want swing out bars. I will be running the flaming river push pull switch and everything i need to be track ready that way.

Not sure if our plain mig weld is cert'd or if they need to be fully tigged. I just want to be able to run the spray at the track and not get kicked out. the rules are 13.49 and under you need a cage in a vert I can drive so i shuold have no problem breaking that on a HCI car... im hoping for 12.4's or better because atco is practically at sea level. As long as i can hook up i should hit some decent numbers...

On my car with just an H pipe i was cutting 14.4's at 95 which isnt bad for a vert with stock gears. i think with gears, intake, bumped up timing i would of been in to the 13's with stock heads and cam which people are always saying is impossible for a vert.

Wish I had known about the difference between full-length and standard SFCs last year.

How much of a possible difference can it make on a street car anyway.
