Nobody believes me but stickers and neon lights shaved off a full second in my 1/4 E.T.

Excellent write-up BigCat!

I have one suggestion, add an arrow to or circle the stud you're trimming near the water pump. The angle is different in the two photos and I can’t tell if you’re modifying the stud in the center of both or the one that is visible at the top of the first photo and not visible at the top of the second. If it’s the one in the center of both, then a before and after photo would be helpful.

I have a set of Steeda UDPs that'll be going on as soon as the weather warms up. I'll be using this as my guide. Thanks!

here you go, this is the stud in question. it is the only stud there, so once you get under the hood, it will be obvious to you.

Thanks Big Cat! This is going to be one of my next mods along with a throttle body. You mention some specialized pullers etc. with P/N's. Are these readily available tools and are they expenxive? Probably not something you would use real often so cost would be a consideration. Do you think they could be rented?

YES! they can be rented, and that is what i did. i rented them from autozone. i think the deposit was under $100. you get all $100 back when you return the tools.

just take those part numbers there, and they can get you the tools needed. dont bother asking for the tools by vehicle, you wont get the proper tools.

no problem. and just in case anyone missed it, you only need to trim off the non-threaded part of the stud.
