Well I fiannly finished my 5.0 brake upgrade and installation of Saleen Spec GR-2's.
My cars handles crazy good now. It was a long day of work. I highly recamend doing this. The GR-2's are great shocks. Amazingly stiff. Good alternative to Koni's if cash funds arent there.
Few notes....
your alignment with be seriously ****** up. Didn't take the time to analyze the spindle differences but even with the shocks adjusted all the way out I still had to move the tie rods out over a half inch.
I feel VERY LUCKY I was able to unbolt the brake lines without twisting them apart. Plan to replace these if you do do the swap. With the age of our cars it's likely that they will break.
Removing the spindles was a PITA. Heat was the only way to get them off after two pickle forks meet there death.
The GR-2 if I paid full price for the whole setup would have been around $160 or so. Of course working for Advance get's me my 20%.
