Finished Performer RPM install, but now my EGR tube doesnt fit up, what to do???

LIke it says my EGR tube wont fit up from the header to the elbow. Im not sure why. but it doesnt. Has this happend to anyone else? What can i do to fix this?

Happened to me. I just cut it to make it fit. I eventually ordered a new one and it fit for some reason.

What I had done is to cut the tube so you have about 2 inches of tube and get yourself some high temp hose and connect the two with it. I didn't have any problems with heat. It worked for 3 years untill I did the fox TB .

I put mine in a vise grip and bent it until it fit. Seemed to work.

Yea people usually just bend or cut and install hi temp hose those will work fine. But if its not off by too much I held it onto my my TB adapter studs with one hand and put the two nuts on with the other hand then I tightned them down till it stopped leaking. Also in my case I was switching from a performer 5.0 to a performer rpm II and the tube was just off by half an inch. If its off by a lot you will have to bend or cut. But it seems its off by different amounts on different peoples cars and so you can do whats easiest and/or possible for you to do. I'm just giving you another option if its not off by a lot.

Your instruction sheet should have given you the Edelbrock part # for the EGR extension kit. The RPM is a little taller then the Performer. I've never seen this kit before, and it doesn't surprise me since its an easy fix.

Im not sure if it is taller or not. Because it clears the hood a lot easier than my performer did. Im just gonna get some high temp hose and cut the tube. Seems to be the easiest way to go. Ill start a new thread on the effects of the RPM compared to my performer soon.

Sweet, I'm hoping to do a RPM/Typhoon and Fox throttle body swap sometime soon.

I also did the cut/insert high-temp hose thingy. Works great.
