So I finished restoring the exterior and engine bay.

There are a few details I'd still like to do like repaint the yellow on some of the writing on the cap and other things here and there but I figured I would post now anyway since those things are minor.

I also included an interor shot. The only thing I really want to do interior-wise is maybe get a new driver's seat... but I haven't been able to find one. So if anyone has a line on one let me know

The classifieds here and on Corral, and ebay are good sources for stock seats.

Very clean

Thanks for fixing that for me and I"m glad you guys dig the car

It's been quite a lot of work but it's worth it.

Yeah it's the stock shifter and handle and it's screwed all the way down. But I do admit it does look rather tall in this picture.

The only thing not stock on the car is the radio.

The headlights and foglights are Ford lights. I had to get the complete assembly because my rear brackets had cracked.

I've looked for seats but I haven't actually found a driver's seat that was in as good condition as the one I have already. But I'll keep looking I guess

It took me about six months to get a hold of some new quarter windows I guess it will take me longer with the seats.

Hey thanks for the tip

Yeah I've used all kinds of paint cleaners to try and get that better but haven't had any good result. I never thought of an SOS pad.

Did you use anything with the pad? Or just water?

This is the green pad with the sponge on the other side right?

Yeah I debated about the wheels. Everything was stock but I REALLY wanted to put better brakes on the car. I was going to do the 5-lug conversion but just never found a wheel I liked as much as the pony wheel.

Then I found out that Mavromount makes 17-inch ponys and was going to do that... But they aren't making them right now... so I waited, and waited, and e-mailed and waited, and just got tired of waiting for them to start making them again.

i just used water, simple green may work good as well. an SOS pad is a wad of steel wool with some kind of soap in it, any local grocery store or even walmart has them. my mom uses them for pots and pans i think. you buy them in boxes of like 10 for probably $2

i don't mean to hyjack your thread, but you can see my before an after pics here, all i used was a can of black paint and some SOS pads.

After
