Well, I'm gathering the parts for my 5 speed swap in the Lincoln. I got the Fiore Micro-Click adjuster, I'm looking for install info on it. This is my first Fox platform car, and my first 5 speed swap.

So, I have the adjuster, and the OEM cable, and I don't know how exactly it goes. Do I have to modify the cable at all? Also, where does the flat side of the adjuster go?

Thanks

You have to pull the rubber off the big end of the cable and grind of the small tabs that kept the rubber on, and the adjsuter goes on that end.

Well in an automatic mustang the clutch cable/adjuster goes where the speedo cable is, by the brake booster. Then you move the speedo cable to a plugged hole just to the left of the other hole.

I guess both of those holes would be there in a Mark VII, because the engine bay is probably full of holes like the mustang. I just hope they're not being occupied by something else.

Well, I got the new OEM cable from americanmuscle.com, and it doesn't come with the rubber grommet on it, so I don't have to worry about that. The adjuster does come with a clear piece of hose, I'm guessing goes over the end of the cable that goes into the adjuster, just a guess though. Anybody confirm?

The swap seems pretty straight forward, the hardest part, I've heard, is the pedals. They sure will be a PITA to get out at the junkyard, but now I know what NOT to break...

IIRC on my FWA (another brand), the small sheath was only used in some applications (i.e. for an SN95). See your instructions.

See this article for help with installation and adjustment.

Good luck.
