Could be,but maybe not.

Carbed motors and motor with a fair sized cam will like to idel at 1000+rpm's.

So I wouldnt say its "high",but it could come down if you want.

When I first put my TFS Stage 1 cam in, I had to have the idle up around 1000 rpm. I would say it's normal with this cam.
