finally! i switched from blow-thru to efi, and got to fire it up saturday. it started right up. the big magnafuel pump makes a little bit of racket, but not too bad. i'm running straight ethanol this year.
as expected, i had the 1st start gremlins. thankfully, i've addressed all of those issues. i can't start it up today since my boy has a ball game, so i have to wait to tomorrow to do some more tuning.

i'll run the 20psi i ran in the past.

i didn't get a whole lot accomplished saturday, just added fuel. didn't get much past idle. i'll be at it tomorrow.

i have the same intake and tb as pictured.
as long as it comes with enough pump & injector, and has a 2 or 3 bar map, then you're ready to go. the xfi is a good unit.

update:
drove it yesterday. put alot off miles on it working on the ve table. buddy piloted it, and i stroked the keys. 4psi felt good. baby steps.
i would've got more done, but i couldn't keep alternators in it. the 2nd one lasted only 20 minutes. damn autozone. my fault.
anyways, i got it to start up cold, and it cruises at varies speeds at 14.5af.

You're tuning it on alcohol and still having it display gasoline AFRs, right? 14.5 is a touch rich, so I would expect it to tolerate 14.7-15.0 at light load cruising....probably with some healthy timing advance too.

One more thing...

Video or it didn't happen!
