Firewall to engine ground strap?

I " think " what I might do is drill a hole in the firewall and attach the wire with a larger diameter ( 5/16 ) self tapper.. Waiting for a ground strap to play with....
You’d be way ahead if you pick a spot with access on both sides and install a ground stud. Burnish both sides, and run a bolt with washers on both ends. Secure it with a nut, then use another nut to attach your ground lug.

That’s how we do it on aviation grounds. Makes it much easier to add grounds for other things later.

Great idea... Wish I had done that before I reinstalled the dash and firewall insulation....
