Same here. I actually told the dealer not to put it on there to start with and they agreed. When I showed up there it was, but I was in too much of a hurry to drive the thing to wait for them to take it off.

Made a deal with my salesman that if they left the dlr sticker off, I would take a stack of his business cards. It was my idea. When I picked up the car there was no sticker and no business cards. Guess he forgot about it....
My first mod was to install a set of rubber floor mats over the carpeted factory ones. It keeps the sand out of them. I've done that with every car for about the last 15 years.

Second mod was to torque the lug nuts to factory spec...

Next mod is to install the wheel locks that I purchased at Auto Zone for ten bucks instead of the 50 dollar option from Ford...

Well you and I think a lot alike that was my first also.
My second was to create a custom made rubber liner for the whole front section. oh boy am I glad I did. It goes all the way up the sides and fits snug and secured in a couple of areas with pull ties. It caught a large fountain soda once and my cooler tiped over a couple of times too.

First item needed is a pair of knee pads!
Yeah its easy if you are determined to make it work. It actually took 4 hours and some patience.
First go to Lowe's and see if they have the right material on a big roll. Cut a 4x9 piece or 2 4x4.5 pieces. The 4ft wide is needed to make it one piece. This material should be fairly ridgid.
My interior is black so black it was.
Take out the floor mats and throw them away. they wont be needed no mo.
Go buy some heavy rubber mats with large outer lip. dont ask me why just do it.
Need good snips or scissors, lay it in then envision it in place of the carpet. cut or trim it a couple of inches bigger than the area u want and remember that ur gonna want it to go under some of your other trim. make sure it curves up to the seat too, high enough to touch the seat. u can trim it later. This will be two places to use pull ties to tie to the legs of the seat. the other spot for a tie is under the dash where ur knee is. mind u ur gonna have to be crafty with those snips.
The only big slit will have to be at the corner near the gas pedal and remember to not let it interfer with the gas pedal. duh
The other corner I think I used a tie when I folded some of it together.
Dont cut a hole in the bottom for the factory mat hook thats why I said to throw them away.
A heat gun could help but I didnt have one.
Good luck guys I'll try to get some pics later.

I also have the deep lip, channel groove, rubber floor mats. With a 9 year old boy who is an avid rock collector and, well..... a clumsy, cute 9 year old boy, deep lip rubber mats are preferable.

Prevention is a better option for me than reaction. I would rather use the mats than break down his self-esteem and create the perception that my car is more important than him. Kids are people too and accidents happen.

Fang, your option reminds me of a rain slicker for the Stang. hahahhhaa... Creative idea and very nice work.

What created the need for you to come up with it? At this rate your next step would be to rip out the stock carpet and install a thick layer of spray-on bedliner. roflmao....

My dealer knew better. License plate frame was it. That's ok, as soon as I find a better one it's gone.

lol, u funny girl.
I guess over the yrs of experience brightened that light bulb in my head. Makes for easy cleaning, resale value and a heater core that leaked in a truck once.

Technically yes. The pony is Redfire Metallic and the license plate frame is brass.

The vanity tag reads: TUNTAVRN
