Hey whats up everyone, just sold my 95 firebird formula, and getting my new mustang. I am getting a used manual, between 2001 and 2003 Mustang GT (whichever i can get the best deal on from dealership) Anyway i wanted to know what mods should i do first. It will be a daily driver. I already have intake, heads, and exhaust on order, and M/T slicks. What would everyone else reccomend to come next?

ehhh, i have a 2000 gt
there seems to be major slack on the accelerator. I don't know if its apparent on the 2001+ models, but i just used a 1 inch nylon spacer and fix that by attaching it to the cable. probably the cheapest mod (20 cents) .... and great for heel-toe driving!

Welcome to StangNet!
Couple questions...you haven't bought the car, but you've already ordered an intake (what intake?), heads and exhaust? Do you plan to run Mickey's daily?

most people will suggest swap your rear end gears and getting a short shifter as your first mods.

1. MGW shifter, Steeda Triax, Pro5.0 MGW has the shortest throw and the triax and 5.0 are the same.
2. Gears. If you're staying NA get at least 4.10. If youre gonna get blown go with 3.73
3. Exhaust. Catback for sounds, midpipe for actual power. Longtubes no less mated to your prefrence of either x (raspy nascar) or h (deep muscle car) pipe.
