I dunno if everyone was keeping track of my progress thread, but today was the first day I got to drive my car in 6 years. It's dirty in these pics, so it could be shinier!

Anyway, figured i'd share.

I have the rear adjusted high because i haven't rolled my fenderlips yet. When i do, i'll lower it down a little because I have adjustable arms.

Unfortunatly I do not have them anymore. That was two computers ago. Most of my pics from then were paper pictures that I have. Not much in digital.

Not much has changed, AOD to t-5 swap, cobra disks all around and some interior reworking.

It's just that the car hasn't moved on it's on in 6 years. The day I bought my 2003 GT, i parked it and forgot about it. Now that my GT is gone, time to drive the 5.0 again.

Feels like a Mustang

I dunno, it still needs some quirks to iron out. It needs an alignment, so it it a little twitchy on certain roads.

I just need to fix the exhaust leak and replace the soft rubber exhaust mounts with the Harder Ford OEM rubber mounts. There is too much movement when i bog and it bangs on the rear frame. I HATE exhaust leaks and noise, so it's gonna bother me until i get it fixed.

A few little odds and ends, but nothing major. It's got some nice power through 1st and 2nd, but i haven't gotten on it too much and haven't gone over 50MPH yet. I gotta take it easy while i break in the brakes, clutch and transmission.

But so far so good. Just needs a GOOD wash.

It's just gonna take some getting user to after my 2003GT. I can still remember the smooth 4.6L, quiet ride and just the feel of having a nice new car. Driving a 21-year old Mustang around feels like driving an old muscle-car....but i guess that's the point!

Engine bay's a mess right now from sitting. Dust and oxidation everywhere..so i'm going to hold off on posting pics of that til i've had an honest chance to clean it up.

Interior..still a little dirty

I think I started working on it last October. That's when i pulled the rear end out and redid it.

Everything else I really started working on it this past April. Did it mainly on the weekends and then spent the week painting parts, gathering stuff, ordering parts, etc.

Still not done. Engine is next. I have some GT-40P's and a TFS1 waiting to go in

*dick head mode on*

Do rear passengers just not need seatbelts?
The rear trim off a newer 3-pt seatbelt stang?
Is that a red seatbelt on the front passenger seat?

Car looks great and you must of had the biggest smile ever when she hit the road under her own power.

Backseat passengers?? What are those?? DUde, i've owned a 4-door sedan for 7 months now and have yet to ever put anyone in the back seat! You might as well weld the doors shut! It's usually just me and my chick.

There will never be a day when anyone sits in the rear of the Mustang. I feel cramped if anyone does. I'd do a rear seat delete, but what I have is much nicer looking

Yes the front belt is red under the sleeve. I just got some black fabric dye...so it's on the list of "touch-up" work I gotta do.

When i first drove it around, i was more or less praying nothing would fall off!! I had the entire suspension and drivetain out, and even though i double checked everything, i was just holding the wheel with both hands.

After 15 or so miles i got to trusting it better. 1st time i smiled was the first time I went WOT in 1st, 2nd and 3rd gear. Felt good to see all my hard work come to light!

Tomorrow i gotta crawl back under the fix the exhaust leak at the passenger collector, then i gotta go get a sticker.
