first nice smokey burn out in my car

I actually did the heel/toe burnout for the first time in my 2005 GT last week. The tires are needing to be replaced and I have a new set ready to go on so I figure why not have some fun roasting the old ones!

"Heel-and-toe is a driving technique used mostly in performance driving, although some drivers use it on the road in everyday conditions in the interests of effectiveness. It involves operating the throttle and brake pedals simultaneously with the right foot, while facilitating normal activation of the clutch with the left foot. It is used when braking and downshifting simultaneously (prior to entering a turn), and allows the driver to "blip" the throttle to raise the engine speed and smoothly engage the lower gear."

I am not gonna lie I am not as familiar with the heel toe? Anyone have advice on how it works??

i think what he means by heel toe is put your heel on one pedal and your toe on the other [brake and gas being the two pedals] and having your left foot on the clutch.

i could never get it too good with that with my old car, all i did was throw it in second, rev it up, dump the clutch and get my left foot on the brake. i've got tire marks that i've done that i've seen from google earth.

i don't have a camera, but one of the first things i'm doing when i get one is cleanin up the ride and then applying rubber to the rear bumper in the easiest way possible.

i need to find a camera person also. it'd be a bitch to do a burn out and while i'm doing the burn out get out and take the picture. hah.

nice. yeah i was gunna go to that but i want to get my rear end set up. having a little wheel hop issues so i want to order the anti squat brackets and adjust my pinion angle. + it was the first day they were open so no rubber on the track yet and probably extremely crowded.

I don't want to run into any issues and have some pretty solid passes the first time out this season.

its supposed to be nice out though this weekend. i heard 70*!!

:eek::eek:

If i get my pinion angle situated and take care of my wheel hop then I might be making a pass this weekend.
