Drove to my Brother in Laws cabin at the Lake for several days of drinking, fishing, golf with a bunch of other old retired railroaders .
Around 190 miles and the little Mustang performed beyond my expectations.
Was totally surprised when I got around 19 mpg.
Best the old V6 got was 17mpg.
I had my foot in her to.
I Love that she feels so Raw.
Just engine, and car.
No ECM’s no ECU’s whatever.
She will never be hooked up to a computer :)

That's awesome!
I took my Cobra II from Atlanta to Myrtle Beach for Mustang Week a couple years ago. I didn't build my engine for fuel mileage, that's for sure! But I actually squeezed out the same mileage as my ex-wife's Audi Q7 - I think it was around 21 MPG if I remember right. All of this with a T5 and 3.55 gears. I was pleasantly surprised - just as it sounds you are now!
It's good to get out and stretch their legs! Besides, I'm sure you probably have some passers by that are a bit envious of your ride with lots of thumbs up as you pass. I'll bet this road trip will be a memorable one for you - enjoy!!

When I drove my old 89 convertible to Myrtle from Maryland I got 26mpg. That was with a carb and the timing locked out. My 19 ecoboost barely gets that.

Glad your trip went well. There's nothing like road tripping in a mustang.
