Taking my 12/09, 2010 GT with 1781 miles in for its first service tomorrow thinking about having them putting Synthetic oil in any thought ? or anything else
Ahh, Got you. I bought the maintenance plan (for a song). I wonder if they will give me a no charge service if I'm not at the suggested mileage, because I won't be. I'll have to check it out.
Page 5 of the Scheduled Maintenance Guide states - "Normal Schedule: 7,500 miles or 6 months, whichever occurs first". I took mine in at six months with 2,800 miles on it and had no problem. I also purchased the maintenance agreement.
Gee--got mine in October that means 6 months came around---only 1800 miles, though.
Guess I'll have to do an oil change---no synthetic for me till about 5000 miles. They advise some seating of rings & bearing surfaces before switching from fossil oil.
