First time at the 1/4 mile track

I hit the track lastnight for the first time. I had a best of 15.1 @94mph. Lots of spin out of first. My reaction time was .74 and my 60ft. was 2.1. I raced 6 times and my last was my best. Motor's stock except for the CAI. Any suggestions on car upgrades and driver improvements? And take it easy, it was my first time on a 1/4 mile track. Also, My last race was against a 5.0 that looked close to stock with maybe a few bolt-ons. He had a better reaction of .62 but his 60 ft. was 2.2. He finished with a 14.6 @ 94. Not sure if that helps any. Could I be in the mid 14's with what I have?

well the reation time play no parts what so even in the time you run, so pay no attenetion to that at the track. as for the 60ft time, it's not too bad, it could be a bit better though. i do think there is about a 1/2 sec worth of improvement in the driver, because the car "should" have a little more in it. then again it all comes down to how well it was maintained. it's hard to really say, but it looks like you are either getting wheel spin on your gears shifts, or you are shifing like your grandma just work on getting your 60ft down a hair more or try to limit wheel spin when hitting the next gear. that's my .02 anyway

I was spinning pretty bad in first and a little in second. The 5.0 I raced in the last one got a better launch but I was pulling on him til the end. Just couldn't catch up.
