First Time at the Track...times inside!!

So today was my first time and after a few learning experiences my best run was:

60'=2.274

1/8=9.628 @ 74.18mph

1/4= 14.989 @ 92.32 mph

My goal was to break into the 14's and i did so i was pretty happy.....after that run i ended it since i was happy and the stang was still strong... dont want to hurt it if im already happy......

Let me know what you think...... mods are below

I think that is pretty good for a vert that is mostly stock performance wise. I would be happy.

with your conv, that's pretty good time.

if you pull a 2.0 60' you"ll be more happy with your time

my sis ran a 14.8 @ 94 in her auto '98 GT w/ stock tires. only mods was a PI Intake

PI intake is a decent power mod for a npi and was her car a vert??

yea, with some more runs hopefully ill cut that down some..... thanks for the support of it though........... I think a 98 also came with 225 hp stock whereas 96-97 (me) only had 215 hp.... does anyone know the stock 1/4 times for my car..... i cant seem to find it anywhere

I believe the 10 hp "increase" is a joke. I don't notice it on a dyno

Your only performance mod is a catback so you should be happy with cracking 14s in the vert

why to go.
You went had fun ran the times you wanted and didn't break. that's what it's all about.

But yeah get your 60's down and you'll be even happier. One of my freinds her NPI coupe auto runs 9.3's, all she has is CAI, and bigs and lil torquethrustII's with street tires. ( goodyears I think)
We need to put some of the stuff that is sitting at the shop for her car on it. need more time

Not bad. My best with gears was 14.7 in my coupe. The PI intake knocked 2/10ths off that.

Get another tenth off the sixty and your will be solidly in the 14's
