Long story short...I have been driving a modified T-bird since 1999. It had the auto in it and ran a best of 13.9@95 w/ a 1.82 60'.

Well, I found an 05 GT with 18K miles on it...I had to buy it. Bought it wednesday, and ran it at the track yesterday...bone stock all the way down to the tires. 235s....

Best run of the day:

13.83@100.36 with a 2.01 60'

I have to learn how to launch a 5-speed...but I wanted some base numbers before the mods start

Mods planned for this week:
JLT or C&L cold air intake, Xcal2, and Borla axleback. I may end up with some MT radials too.

anyway, I have been reading the forums for a few days now and figured I'd pop in and say hi!

Oh, and here are some pics...

Nice first run, ya' beat me. I went out last weekend and best I could do was a 14.2 at 100 mph with a 2.2 60'. Track had just put down 400' of new concrete 2 weeks previous. Everyone said it was slick so I'm hoping to go back in January and see if I can do any better. I also had problems when I'd bang 2nd, it'd get sideways on a power shift. If I lifted and shifted, it'd spin the tires in 2nd!

I was a little disappointed, I put on a JLT cold air and had it on the dyno for a tune. The cold air kit and tune did pick up 18 horsepower. Sounds better too

curious where did you improve technique wise? 1st to 2nd shift? shift higher/lower? 60' is the same as last one
