First time at the track with Kenne Bell

Yea it's 9lbs.

I felt like I could have gone faster, could I had more runs. The weather was cool and everything felt good.

I spun a little through first and 2nd felt very very strong.

My clutch is losing its bite, and it slipped quite obviously when I shifted into third. I wasn't power shifting it, totally granny shifting.

I felt like I could have saw 12.5 or .6 with a few more tries.

I ran the rear psi in the tires at 28 and the front at 32.

lower the rears to 23-25...it'll make a small difference....if i was you though, i'd definately invest in a new clutch, and some drag radials...

With street tires it would be hard to get your 60' much lower, thereby reducing your chance to get your et lower too.

1.9 on street tires is very good btw.

Hell yeah man, nice job! :nice:
I ran a 2.1 with my drag radials :rlaugh: It was my 1st time to the track ever though. (time in sig)

I just ordered a stage 3 mcleod clutch kit, and some MM lower control arms tonight.. so hopefully I can see a little bit of an improvement after those go in.

The times were run at gainesville. It's the first time I've ever been on a quarter mile before.. much less a decently prepped track.

The weather was pretty good, in the 60's with low humidity for Florida.

i would think with traction you would see very low 12's at your power level.
I'd even bet on high-11's. One of the guys in our club dyno'd at 370rwhp with a bolt on Allen Supercharged PI engine and ran 11.9's with his full weight '95 T-Bird. It's a pretty outstanding time for a car that tips the scales at a portly 3,900lb while pushing all of that power through a 4R70W and IRS rear end. To be fair though, he was running Hoosier Quick-times out back, but it still goes to show all of the potential that probably still locked up in a lot of the blower cars on this board that are making in the 375-400rwhp range and still running mid-12's.

Yeah, that sounds like a blast.

Like I said, I know for a fact I can improve on the times. It was my first time on the quarter, and first time at the track since it's been supercharged, so definitely room for more.

The lower control arms are in the mail, so that could help me through first gear just a bit.

I'd be completely content to see 11's on street tires.. but low 12's will make me smile pretty big also. I can tell mid 12's shouldnt be too much practice away.

your lowering springs aren't helping your launch either...i know this first hand, because my sportlines are too stiff in the rear, and it doesn't let the car squat enough when i launch...the h&r's are like the same spring rate and drop as the sportlines, so im assuming it would be a similar problem...when i get some money in the next year or so, i'd like to get some coilovers that way i can have the low stance i love, and have great launches at the track too:nice:
