I went to the San Antonio Raceway with my dad to race for my first time in my completely stock 07 GT with the 3.55 gear option. Car has about 1500 miles on it.

Here is my best time, tell me what you think...

14.4724 @ 98.02 MPH

and my best reaction time: .6086

My best 60FT time was 2.2108 and wasn't on my best time, so I know I have some work to do here, as I am running on stock street tires.

Anyways, It was a blast!

My best in my 07 back in October bone stock was 13.77 @ 102 with a 2.01 60 ft. I only took 3 runs in stock form, all with in a tenth of that time.

Your car will run a better number. It's all in that launch.

Hold 3500 rpm at the line and feather the clutch on the launch to avoid as much wheel spin as possible.

I don't go in the water box on stock radials. I do a short burnout, nothing drastic to avoid glazing the tires over, then a dry hop on my way up to the line. Seems to work real well for me.

What do you mean by dryhop? Do you start in 2nd gear? How do you do it?

Dry hop is essentially a quick launch I do after my burn out, just before I put the car on the line. I tach the car to about 2500 and fly the clutch. It's not another burn out, it's basically a very short and quick practice launch. I like doin it because I can tell just about how the tires are going to react on the line.

Oh, not in second gear, I do everything in first..

I ran a 13.72 @ 100 with a 2.0 60 foot, bone stock. A little more practice and I'll have it in the 13.5's.
