Go find an NOS 05115 kit to start out with. It's the best for a 5.0 Mustang. They go for $250 or less on Craigslist and ebay. There is nothing easier to use and install.

big shot plate kit jetted to 150. I ran this stup on a stock motor for a few years. It will hit hard, and be safe if setup properly with a window switch, and an wot switch

They don't pop up over night. You wait a few weeks, you will find a kit on ebay or craigslist or corral cheap.
