So I went to FFW's this weekend and ran my car for the first time.

My expectations were to run a high 11 but after doing it a couple of times and watching other people with my similar combo it's hard to pull off an 11 sec Thats what I was hoping for but on street tires and my lack of inexperience I'm very doubtful. Regardless I'm very pleased with my results. I aslo wanted to thank the guys at Power House with all the tips and tricks.
Now they have some fast asrse cars. 10's GT Turbo on stock motor and 11's V6 Turbo on stock motor.

So based on my numbers how bad did I do and how fast should I have run under optimal conditions?

Oh my car is a total PIG 3970 with driver or that's really me that's the pig @240.

Anyone have a good calculator.

R/T... .652
60'... 2.047
330... 5.423
1/8... 8.142
MPH... 92.75
1000 ... 10.455
1/4 ... 12.399

Next steps?? I was thinking some nice DR's bump up the boost to 13# and 373 gears??? Stock clutch seems to be holding up incredibly well. I will tell you I did not do any burnouts. I just spun the tires a little to clear any debris.

Without knowing a little about what you were feeling, it's hard to say much about it but good job.

I have to imagine that had a bunh of wheel spin, and without gears, your 60ft was probably not going to be the greatest.

I will say this though, if my assumptions above are correct, your definately going to break into the 11's. Bring that 60ft down to a respectable 1.6 and your knocking at the door. With gears and traction it's a done deal.

Not to jack the thread but if you ran 1/4 ... 12.399 & 1/8... 8.142

and I ran 8.7.... 1/8 does that mean that I ran like a 12.7 in the 1/4? Because if so, holy crap man that is awsome!

8.7 is more like a low 14 second 1/4 mile.

there are lots of variables when comparing 1/8th mile racing to 1/4 mile. some cars have more top end to get them through the 1/4 mile better than just an 1/8th mile. it depends on what your car is set up for. use those numbers as a guide, and dont take them for gospel.

To original poster:
Get your 60 foot down a few tenths and you will be knockin on 11's door. It is easier said than done but you do have enough power to run in the 11's. You just have to hook it up at the start line. What was your 1/4 mile speed?

To the 8.7 second 1/8 mile poster:
An 8.7 would be equivalent to a mid 13 second run. I have old timeslips where I ran 8.6's and 13.4's in the quarter.

This conversion chart is usually pretty close to what you should see in a naturally aspirated car.

My MPH at the 1/4 was 116. I just need some DR's and learn to power shift.

You definitely have more than enough power for 11's. I have run in the 11's several times at only 112mph. My 60 footers were 1.74 on those runs so that should be about what you should shoot for to get there. Good luck!

I moved it for you. It's not a big deal about posting it in the wrong spot, I rather see people post in the wrong forum then not post at all.

Only reason I even said anything is just in case you did not know about what kind of threads go in tech.
