Ok i am planning on putting a component set in the front doors of my 95 gt. Now they are 5x7 6x8 and they make adapters to fit a 5.25 but i was hoping to fit 6.5. Now i dont think there is any plate you can buy to go from a 6x8 to a 6.5 so i would pry have to use mdf a make my own adapter. So is it possible to fit 6.5's in the door and if so what is involved in doing so and what size mdf will i need 3/4? Am i limited to a certain depth speaker or is there plently of room once you make an adapter? Any info/advice is appreciated guys as i figure someone here has done it.

You just have to barely widen the hole in the middle.. How thick of a plate you make depends on what speakers you run..1/2" MDF max...or you will be hitting the door panel..
